Anoeta Stadium will host the final matches of the current season this weekend. On Saturday at 2:00 PM, Sanse faces Mirandés in a LaLiga Hypermotion fixture. Then on Sunday at 7:00 PM, Real Sociedad takes on Valencia in the penultimate round of LaLiga EA Sports. After that game, Matarazzo’s side has just one match left to finish the campaign — a away trip to Espanyol in Barcelona.

Once Sunday’s match ends, the expansion works of the San Sebastián venue will begin. The project aims to increase Anoeta’s capacity from the current 30,500 seats to nearly 42,300. Regardless of whether Donostia is eventually chosen as a host city for the 2030 World Cup, the renovations will proceed, as there is currently a waiting list of over 5,000 people hoping to become Real Sociedad members. The goal is to complete the work during the summer months, including a full turf replacement once the construction finishes.

Due to the start of the remodel, Sanse will not be able to play their final home match of the season at Anoeta — the Round 42 clash against Cultural Leonesa. Instead, they will move to the Zubieta training facilities, pending the final kickoff date and time.

The planned work schedule will also force Real Sociedad to adjust their calendar at the start of next season. As reported by Diario Vasco, the club has requested to play the first two matchdays of the new campaign away from home to ensure the renovation is fully completed. As a result, Real Sociedad fans will experience the last home matches of this season this weekend.
