“Currently, there is an absurd situation being created against Real Madrid and me personally. A team cannot win forever, but we cannot accept this. Some people are using this opportunity to attack me. They ask, ‘Where is Florentino?’ If I don’t speak out, rumors spread that I am ill, even that I have terminal cancer.”
“I also want to take this opportunity to tell those who care about me: I am still the club president and I still manage my own company, which has an annual turnover of €50 billion. My health is in very good condition. If I really had cancer, I would be receiving treatment at an oncology center, and news of that would have spread across the world long ago. That is not the case, but the rumor continues to grow more absurd.”
